Art of Fatherhood is pleased to offer:
a Latin course for beginners.
The course will be offered for students or adults interesting in beginning to learn Latin.
The course will run for 6 weeks at 2 sessions/week.
Time: Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Begins: April 24th
Ends: May 31st
Total of 11 sessions (no class on Victoria day).
The course will cover the following:
Chapters 1-6 of the Lingua Latina text.
This includes:

Using 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th conjugation verbs in the 3rd person (sing. & plural) and in the imperative.

1st and 2nd declension nouns (3rd, 4th, and 5th would be saved for a later course)

All 7 declensions (nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, ablative, vocative, and locative)
-
Approximately 250 vocabulary words

Prepositions and their subsequent cases

Tense: Present only

Voice: Active and Passive
-
Pronouns
-
Weekly worksheets
-
Dialogues in which to practice speaking the language

Kenton E. Biffert has been a teacher for 13 years. He has a master’s degree in Education and masters in Sacred Theology. With 4 years of Latin training at the International Theological Institute in Austria, and being classically trained in theology, philosophy and literature, a teacher of drama and teaching many ages ranging from kindergarten to University, Kenton brings the classroom experience to life.
